The retention program, which is an element of flood risk management in the Upper Vistula region between Krakow and Zawichost, is a document specifying the goals and tasks related to flood protection. The aim of the program is to reduce the potential negative effects of floods on human life and health, the environment, cultural heritage, and economic activity. The implementation of selected actions will lead to a reduction in flood losses and minimization of identified threats.
The program of retention activities in the water region of the Upper Western Vistula and the Upper Eastern Vistula between Krakow and Zawichost has been planned for the years 2022-2024.
